Work is still going on at the new OV Terminal in Breda. Sorba was commissioned for a large number of the elements of this beautiful construction. Sorba applied cladding to the steel trusses and pillars at the station using an aluminium composite, manufactured by Alpolic. The large ceilings will be finished in the same material.
Here and there within the building, many pillars will be finished, in both stainless steel sheeting and Alpolic material.
Sorba is also responsible for what is known as the ‘masonry caps’, consisting of a variety of solutions for roof cowls and water hammer in the homes, offices and parking decks. The assembly work was completed to a large extent in 2014, and construction sometime in 2015.
The OV Terminal was designed by Architectenbureau Koen van Velsen and building work was done by the construction combination Hurks/Ballast Nedam.
